Samsung Galaxy S21 FE users in the USA and select markets can now experience the latest advancements in software technology, as the much-anticipated One UI 6 update has been released for some carrier variants and is gradually making its way to unlocked models. This update brings a host of new features and improvements, enhancing the overall user experience on the popular smartphone.

Android 14 and One UI 6: A Blend of Innovation and Security

The One UI 6 update, accompanied by firmware version G990U2SQU7FWKD, is currently rolling out to unlocked Galaxy S21 FE models (currently available on Amazon for $399), delivering not only the exciting features of One UI 6.0 but also incorporating the December 2023 security patch. Users can expect notable enhancements, including camera widgets, improved photo and video editing tools, and security features such as Auto Blocker. The redesigned Quick Panel introduces a mix of improvements, making it better in some aspects while undergoing changes in others. Additionally, a new media player widget for the notification shade adds to the comprehensive list of upgrades.

In contrast, the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra, launched with Android 11, will cease to receive Android OS upgrades after Android 15 unless Samsung revises its software update policy.
