With the release of the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung introduced Galaxy AI, a suite of intelligent tools aimed at enriching user experiences. Now, these innovative features are no longer exclusive to the latest flagship devices. Through the One UI 6.1 software update, Samsung is bringing its AI capabilities to select older devices, scheduled to roll out starting March 28.

The Galaxy S24 series served as the launchpad for Galaxy AI, showcasing its potential to revolutionize how users interact with their smartphones. Among the standout features is the Circle to Search functionality, which allows users to seamlessly search for information by drawing a circle around any content on their screen. This intuitive feature streamlines the search process, providing instant access to relevant information.

Another standout feature, Live Translate, breaks down language barriers by enabling real-time translation during phone calls and text conversations. This functionality not only enhances communication but also fosters global connectivity, making conversations smoother and more inclusive.

Chat Assist represents another significant addition to Samsung's AI arsenal. Integrated with the Samsung keyboard, Chat Assist offers translation suggestions, writing style adjustments, and grammar checks, ensuring that messages are polished and coherent. This feature is poised to elevate written communication on Samsung devices, catering to users' diverse linguistic needs.

Perhaps the most intriguing addition is Generative Edit, an AI-powered photo editing tool that empowers users to unleash their creativity. With Generative Edit, users can effortlessly remove objects, resize elements, or manipulate backgrounds in their photos, opening up a realm of possibilities for artistic expression.

The rollout of the One UI 6.1 update extends the reach of these AI features to a wider array of devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, the latest foldables Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series. This update encompasses devices purchased from major carriers and retailers, ensuring accessibility across diverse user demographics.
